This Privacy Policy explains how VidRank ("the App", "we", "our") collects, uses, and safeguards information when you use our mobile application.

1. Our Privacy Promise
No account required — VidRank does not require registration, login, or any personal account.
No personal information collected — We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information (PII).
Your data stays on your device — All tool inputs, history, and rank-tracking data are stored locally on your device only.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
VidRank does **not** collect, transmit, or store:
- Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
- Your YouTube account credentials or profile data
- Your location or device identifiers
- Photos, contacts, or other personal files
3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The following data is stored locally in your device's app storage and is never uploaded to any server:

You can delete all of this data at any time from **Settings → Reset Local App Database** or by uninstalling the app.
4. Network Requests
When you use certain tools, the App makes requests to publicly available services to provide results:
YouTube Data API v3 (`search.list`, `videos.list`, `channels.list`) — used to look up public video tags, channel statistics, and search results. These requests are made with the topics/keywords or URLs you type. No personal data is included.
YouTube public autocomplete endpoint — used to expand keyword and hashtag suggestions.
YouTube oEmbed endpoint — used to read public video titles/channel names.
Any query text you enter is used solely to complete the request you initiated and is not saved by us on any server.
5. Advertising (AdMob)
The App is ad-supported. We use Google AdMob to display advertisements.
- During development and testing, only Google's official test ad unit IDs are used.
- AdMob may collect device information (such as advertising ID) to serve and measure ads, in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy and Google's personalized advertising policies.
- You can control advertising ID usage and personalized ads through your device settings (e.g., Android → Settings → Privacy → Ads → Delete/Reset advertising ID) and via **Google's Ads Settings**.
- We do not sell your information to third parties.

The App may reference external websites or services (e.g., YouTube, AdMob). These are governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
9. Data Security
All network communication is encrypted over **HTTPS** only. We implement reasonable safeguards to protect locally stored data. No data is transmitted to us, so there is no server-side data to secure.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
